I was offered ?373 for my Samsung S23 Ultra 256 GB. Sending the phone was easy with the prepaid shipping and I sent in the original box.They made contact very quickly. The 1st offer was ?160.50!!!! I declined the offer, I got a 2nd offer of ?180. I decided to call and find out why the offer was so low. They said it was because there were a number of catches on the screen, which I was aware of, but they were very faint and not visible from 6inches away, or at all when the screen was on. Also there were catches on the back and side, I took pictures of the phone before I sent it and there were no such scratches. After of 10 mins of chatting and multiple offers, they eventually offered me ?275, nearly ?100 less than the original online offer and ?115 more than their first revised offer. At this point I was annoyed and said I wouldn't accept the offer and felt I could get more for it privately and asked them to send the phone back, which they did and in a timely fashion, however, when I received my phone back the imei sticker was missing from the back of my phone and was not sent in the original box, which seriously impacts the resale value. I ended up getting an online offer from Back Market of ?332. I sent the phone 2 days ago, and today I had confirmation that they will be sending me the full ?332.I appreciate this, maybe a small business, I also understand there will be a level of negotiating, the people I spoke to were very polite and sent the phone back with no questions asked, but to receive an initial revised offer of ?213 pounds less than I was quoted online is not on.
