Review of Linley & Simpson
I didn't choose to Rent from Linley & Simpson they took over from Rpms who I had been renting this house from for nearly 6 years.They do not reply to texts (when I reply to their texts) No welcome pack to give their contact details or their bank details or how to report the long list of long standing repairs,or let me know they had taken over from my estate agent ..All i got was a stroppy email saying I hadn't paid my rent when I had but to RPMS who i had always paid. I didnt know they had taken over from my estate agent..i got no apology for not informing me of a change of bank details.Repairs don't get done..6 month wait for a leak through the ceiling & it only got done thanks to a push their super plumber & now its leaking again!! with the added bonus of a hole in the ceiling.The house has had the same leak for 16 years (my friend rented it before me).The kitchen is 20 years old & half the cupboard doors fall off / draws drop as they are rotten the screws don't stay in we are continually doing our own repairs..i have been waiting 6 years for window lock keys (not L & S fault),the house is so draughty & cold,gutterings are full & were when I moved in the property has not been maintained.Back fence has blown down I have been waiting 18 months to find out if it belongs to this house or next door.Less than 12 hours notice for electrical or gas checks.The staff I have dealt with don't communicate within each other so I get the same text from 5 different employees?? The staff I have dealt with have been very rude i would not recomend renting from Linley & Simpson & certainly not the Beverley office.Very hard work to get any communication out of them, they just want your money!
