In June 2021 I and my wife were scammed for ?20000 and ?10000 respectively by fraudsters using a very sophisticated investment scam pertaining to be with Morgan Stanley. Within 24hrs I realised I had been scammed and immediately reported it to my bank Santander. They said they would appoint a member of there fraud team to fully investigate and report to me for more information. Three days later I received a phone call from a member of their Fraud team at 20.45 basically saying they held me fully responsible for the loss of the money and would not be refunding any money. They had not asked for any more information on the scam apart from what I gave them when I initially reported the scam ,which was who I had transferred the money to. I raised a complaint with them that they had not fully investigated my claim but received the same response on three occasions. The response and lack of empathy from their fraud team to a person in their mid seventies I could only put as Appalling. In frustration I looked on line for help on fraud recovery and found reclaimit cyber. I contacted them and spoke to Stuart one of their Directors. I was immediately met with excellent customer service and empathy. After listening to my case and all details of the scam and Santanders response , Stuart believed I had an excellent case for a refund from the bank. He stated they were happy to take my case on but wanted to make me fully aware that I could pursue the case myself with the Financial Ombudsman at no cost. Due to the trauma I had suffered already I decided to give the case to reclaimit cyber.Stuart dealt with the case, putting up with the obstructions from the bank and finally taking it to the Financial Ombudsman. He kept me fully updated on any developments on the case with the least input from myself. After approx six months I was awarded a full refund plus costs and interest by the FOS. against the bank. I cannot recommend reclaimit cyber and Stuart highly enough on how they dealt with my case and myself. Also their fees are far less than most other fraud recovery firms online. We now await the outcome of my wife's case which Stuart is dealing with and was with Nationwide and now the FOS
