I moved to Goodwin Lodge in August 2023 to be near my daughter and family and soon knew I had made a great decision for the site of my remaining years. The location, so near both the seafront and the heart of the town; the design and condition of the modern block; and, above all, the maintenance and smooth running of the of the establishment all contribute to my continued satisfaction. As manager, Sharon is largely responsible for dealing with both the practical and personal issues which arise, many of which no doubt remain unknown to the residents owing to her foresight and planning. Her attitude is always friendly and helpful and I am sure my neighbours feel confident in approaching her about their concerns as I do myself. As I am still mobile and driving I can follow my interests in the town but still socialise with residents in the communal lounge. However, it is clear that attention is given to creating opportunities for those less mobile to meet and interact within the Lodge. I have found the atmosphere here warm, friendly and peaceful and am aware that efficient and dedicated management is largely responsible.
